Today, I milled the left landing gear to fit throught the clamped assembly and temporarily bolted it in place. This required moving some material from each edge of the gear leg, as well as rounding the edges to fit the radius in the pre-machined clamp assembly. I needed to ream out the FUS 309 to 5/16 and then I bolted them together and drew them up tight -- i didn't do the final torque. Then, I kept working on the gear leg until it fit. I used a combo of the belt sander and a dremel tool to machjinre them down just a bit. They now fit very snug. In fact, I may need to remove a bit more to allow for paint.
