Today I completed riveting the ribs to the main spar both left and right were done.
I know each step of the assembly has both left and right. What works great for me is doing the same for both sides before moving to the next step. Regardless if I think it is a pain in the *ss or not it seems to be the easiest way for me to get things done.
I dimpled everything and primed as you can see in the pictures. On to the skins finally:-) Wings finally taking shape.
I then had to install the AN3 wing spar bolts in step 14-6 and torque to spec. My digital torque wrench was calibrated. I then measured the friction torque on the 1032 nut which was 17 in lbs. I then set my torque wrench to 43 in lbs and torqued all the main spar bolts to those amounts. Getting the proper size AN3 bolts identified took some time since they were mixed up in different bags from Vans.
