Brief Description: trimming leading edge skins for ER fuel tanks
Modifications must be made to the W-1001 Leading edge outboard wing skins to accomidate the longer ER fuel tank skins. Since the Sky Designs ER fuel tanks are 2 bays longer, the 1001 outboard Vans skins have to have same material removed. The Sky Designs plans tell you to cut on the third line of rib holes as a rough trim. I have attached pictures for reference,
All is primed but not dimpled yet.
Once the ribs are fitted a template is used to get the final trimming done for final assembly.
