Brief Description:  Reverting Back to stock

I had originally decided to remove the down tubes on the intake manifold due to poor seals that were leaking. And while the leaks were not ok, the solution of removing the aluminum runners in exchange for 3" silicone tubes introduced an unexpected problem. After running the new silicone tubes for a few hours, I would notice a binding in my throttle to find that the Throttle Body arm was contacting the starter casing. Well, I simply re-positioned the intake manifold to give the Throttle Body a good amount of clearance, and then tightened up all the clamps again. Well, this didn't seem to do the job. Every time I flew, the position would change and having a throttle get stuck in flight was NOT ok. The issue really has me baffled as the stock setup is almost identical to the modified version but with less of a silicone hose run on each tube. So, I decided to admit defeat on this one and go back to using the stock tubes. However, still wanting to deal with the leaking tubes, I applied a generous amount of Right Stuff to the inside of the stock tubes to create a better seal than OEM. We will see if the seal holds as Right Stuff is not formulated for fuel resistance. At least the injectors are downline from the sealant. :) Good luck to me...
