After biting off all my nails, I got the courage to go ahead and do a compression check on all 6 cylinders. I was nervous about the #6 cyl as it was only 2 hours new, and also #2 because the head was just installed. BUT, every cylinder was fantastic, and this was done on a COLD engine!! Here are the results:
As you can see, the only ones under 79 were #2 that needed a valve adjustment, and #6 that isn't anywhere near broken in yet and STILL well within acceptable limits. Again, being cold, these numbers only PROVE that a proper breakin is crucial for a happy running engine.
