After installing the Silver Bullet I fired up the engine and instantly thought the prop was out of balance. I was wrong. After I brought the prop home and found it was balanced perfectly, I knew something was wrong with the engine. I pulled the plugs and looked inside the cylinders. All were ok until I looked inside #6 and it became instantly obvious where the tapping noise and vibration was coming from. Piston slap. The piston skirts have been slapping the side of the cylinder walls and have totally destroyed the cylinder. This is all due to a manufacturing error and I'm hoping that they cover it under warranty. We'll see on Monday....
