Brief Description: Valve adjustments and rocker cover paint
The solid lifters on these engines require tappet adjustment once in a while, but more so in the first 50 hrs. I was planning on painting the rocker covers to match the rest of the firewall aft accessories, so I went ahead and checked the gap in the rockers and was only able to find 1 tappet that needed adjusting. Cylinder #6 exhaust valve was way off so it got tightened up while I painted the rocker covers with 2 coats of hammered black. Into the oven they went at 170 deg. for 20 minutes. Out they came, ready for installation :) Boy they look good!
