Brief Description:  SHE LIVES!!!

After torqueing all the prop bolts, and installing the exhaust headers the all new 520iS was ready to suck on gas. Sitting at just under 5000hrs on this build, I rolled her out onto the driveway and hit the start button while cameras were rolling. The engine fired right up and sounded sweeeet. Oil temps took a good while to come up which is GREAT news. CHT's all close together and the beast was begging me to throttle up. As soon as the oil temps reached 110 I hit it. Before I knew it, she was screaming out 2320 Static RPM with a big ol 3 blade Catto on the back. This prop may very well be a fantastic option for our birds. I noticed a bit of vibration so I'm hoping the prop is out of balance, but knowing the engine still needs a good breakin, I'm not too worried about it. I shut her down and rolled her back into the shop, not seeing a single drop of oil, or fuel. Bone dry everywhere. I now have to focus on finishing the cowling and getting a couple exhaust pipes welded up. I must say, she really doesn't look bad all white. :)
