Brief Description:  All kinds of stuff

The day started by adding a round of micro corners inside the oil cooler exit plenum as well as a layer outside on top. While this was curing I moved on to the air filter box and intake scoop. This one took a lot of time due to the need to contour foam inside and out. Not much fun. The first job was adding a scoop for the top of the turtle deck that will be mounted permanently to the deck and air filter box. The shape has me excited as it will match both of the CHT intakes in shape and design. Not shown was a 2 ply layer of UNI on the exposed foam, inside and out.
The next job was designing an intake tube that will be bonded to the air filter box. It needed to be a 2" to 60mm 90 degree elbow. I couldn't find anything on the market for this solution so I have to make one. Bonding 3 pieces of foam together I contoured it then wrapped it in electrical tape for a release after digging out the foam. The inside must be smooth for good airflow. I may even add some honeycomb inside to smooth out the 90 degree turn. I then wrapped it with several plies of glass. It looks ugly as crap, but when finished will be beautiful.
