Brief Description:  Blow by inspection and findings

Cylinder #6 has never in it's life seen anything close to 300deg. temps. In Fact, Right now at 255 I think it's never been warmer. This is Not a good thing especially when breaking in a new engine. Unfortunately, when I began running the engine, I was stuck in a December winter with a new airframe and I wasn't about to go full throttle and take off within the first 30 minutes of it's life. Either way, I've been experiencing more and more blow by and needed to find out where it's coming from. In my hunt, using a Borescope I found some pretty substantial scuffing on the #6 Cylinder wall. Looks to me like the Ring hasn't been able to seat properly or God forbid is cracked. Now, seeing clean identical exhaust pipes and not really going through oil tells me it should be fine, but still may need to be pulled and honed along with a new ring installation. Since I'm wanting to avoid this, I'm going to be running a Ceramic Treatment immediately to see if I can re-build the cylinder walls and get that ring to seat. Also, I never ran straight mineral oil based on UL's advise and I'm regretting it now. All engines need mineral oil break in periods. Period :)
When I come back after 50 hrs, I will post a new pic of #6 and be hoping to see a difference. But More power and smoother runs will be the best evidence of success.
