After removing the exhaust pipes 2 months ago I, again, found large deposits of carbon inside the exhaust ports and on the exhaust lifters which is bad bad bad. I've looked all over for ways to clean things up without a top end overhaul and found that guys claim water injection works really well. I took the plunge and had my wife sit in the back seat spraying water into the intake while I revved her to 1500rpm. I was SHOCKED how much water she could take before sputtering and stuttering, but after puting just 8oz of water through her, she seems to run smoother and stronger. I'm thinking about running a line to the intake so I can actually pump water into her in flight! We'll now get to see how she runs as I'll be taking her back up in the air tomorrow!
