Brief Description:  Induction scoop continues

I spent more time scratching my head today than I thought I would but ended up making some progress. I taped off the cowling where the scoop will be installed and built up some foam using x-30. Knowing I want a smooth interior and my hands won't fit inside the scoop, I knew I had to cut the scoop in half to do interior glass and filler work. I was able to get 3 plies BID on the lower half of the scoop tonight and put some heat on it in order to have it ready for filler and primer by tomorrow night. I also should mention that the scoop on the cowling was microed as well for a smooth transition to the top scoop. How I will finish this out, I don't know yet. I really want to mount it to the airframe permanently using flox, but that means bonding the scoop and all the finishing work ON the aircraft which will be a real PITA. May even have to remove the canopy to do it. ugh. For now, the goal is to get the entire scoop built as clean as possible.

Side note: Just got an email from Catto that the new prop will be here in about a month. And that he's breaking all the rules with this one. The numbers he's given me already has me thinking he's crazy. We'll see about that :)
