I've finally got a baseline performance from all the changes I've made while flying with the Silver Bullet so I wanted to try the re-pitched Catto and it wasn't good. Catto is convinced I need a 66 inch diameter prop but my static RPM is only 2200 and my WOT speed at 3500 ft is only 165 True. That's REALLY bad. Not to mention my oil temps shot up. I called Catto Props and left a message. At this point he will need to either refund me or build a smaller diameter prop like Hertzler did and get this thing right. It is a rare event when Catto is this way off, but he's still learning this engine/ airframe combo so I'll be patient if he's willing to make a new one in under 6 months. ugh. 6 months...
