Well phooey. The box I've made is now down to what I feel is the minimum height available and is too tall by a couple millimeters. The issue to that on top of the intake headers, crosses the fuel lines. If these weren't there I'd be in business! My box has to sit on top of these lines and is just a wee bit too tall and contacts the cowling. Not to mention I really need to include at least a 1/8" clearance for engine vibration. Soooooooo, I've got only one option here. I can mask off the fuel lines, create a dam and pour X-30 over it to create a box that literally straddles all these obstacles, but I still need to know that this would give the room necessary for the filter I ordered. I need it here! I'm gonna sleep on this one tonight and tackle it tomorrow...
