Brief Description:  The intake plenum begins

So I couldn't sleep, as usual, when I'm excited about a project like this one which means into the night I went! I changed the design of the induction box a little due to the fact that I had to shorten it to fit it under the cowling. I went ahead and made it square which opens up the airflow inside the box a little more. I then added rounded sides which added another 1.5" to the overall width. These two changes should let the filter breathe much better. The other reason behind the rounded corners came from my sound engineering days. When in a square box room the sound bounces around in bad ways and in the corners you'll have a lot of bass build up. In studios you'll see odd shaped walls, textures, and foam especially in these places where sound can get nasty. Here, I want to make sure that the air coming in doesn't get turbulent inside this box and can smoothly flow around the corners and into the filter. Whether or not it would make any difference, I don't know, however, I do know that building a fibergalss box with sharp corners sucks! Rounded corners will fair out much easier and but stronger as well. 3 plies carbon would be nice here, unfortunately, it doesn't play well with aluminum so it's got to sit this one out as I'm using 4 aluminum flanges in this guy.
