At this point it seems that OAT temp just doesn't phase my CHT's. The engine is brilliant that way. So I decided as my last ditch effort to keep from cutting open the belly of the beast, I'd split my intake plenums in half and send half of the air to the oil cooler. I used a poster board for a template and aluminum tape for release and laid up a 2 ply BID diverter to shove ram air into the oil cooler ducts. Again, I need to see climb out temps below 240 to even justify this as a possible path to take. So the next test flight will tell all. This is the big moment of truth.
