Brief Description:  New cooler ducting

So I needed to add 2, 2" ducting openings on the entrance of the intake plenums to send that "ever-so-efficient" cooling air into the oil cooler plenum. I was spoiled in that I just removed the 2 I had on the lower cowling from a previous failed attempt and bonded them in using 2 plies carbon. I then added 2 plies carbon to the gaping holes now left in the lower cowling to plug em up. The garage is getting up to the max limit of my thermometer at 99 degrees so the cure times are Really fast, making this go by real quick. I tell ya what, NOTHING would make me happier then to see this drop my temps. Nothing better than low drag and low temps. It's the friggin holy grail.
My 2" ceet tubing will be arriving tomorrow so a test flight should be in order before the end of the week!
Now, please note, there are 2 major options with this setup that I can add if temps don't drop. The first being a scoop on the inside of the plenums directing air into the 2" tubes rather than just relying on plenum pressure. The second, being a low pressure device installed just ahead of the cooler exit on the bottom cowling. With both of those added, if I don't see better temps, then this bird will undergo MAJOR surgery for a belly naca/scoop setup. This will require re-locating firewall items as well. good fun...let's hope this one works.
