So i've been looking forward to this. I brought home the oil cooler and cowling. I first mounted the nutplatesto the cooler, then installed the new plenum and sealed it up good with Red RTV. Then allowing it to cure, I used green foam, electrical tape and West systems to create 2 more 2" ducts. The plenum will attach to these exits via 2, 6" sections of CAT ducting. I installed them at an angle in hopes to draw the air out of the cooler more efficiently. I laid up 2 plies BID and peel plied em. Remember, this is only a test to see if 1, the oil cooler will work better when the air exits more efficiently and 2, to see if this was the cause of the air-oil separator dumping out so much oil. IF the cooler temps go down noticeably it will most likely mean I can use this cooler. If NOT, then this one will be on Ebay next month :) More importantly, I hoping this solves the oil dump issue. It's a PIA!
