Brief Description:  A beautiful upset

Today was the final flgiht of Phase 1 for N316NM. And for her final flight, she got to dress up in this new Stunning Catto Prop. It's very different from the Hertzler at 66x64, however the only good news is how smooth she spins.
Unfortunately, she gives less performance in EVERY Category. Lower static, less climb, and a whopping 7kts Slower and at Higher RPM's which means more fuel burn.

I told Catto NOT to finish the prop until I got the chance to flight test it, but he insisted it would perform correctly. Well, Now I'm hoping that he will re-design this prop for me, but because it's finished, he may have to start all over.... I've emailed him the bad news so we will see what happens next.

It's really too bad, especially when it looks so good! But for almost $3000 it needs to be right. period.

UPDATE: 4-1-15
Catto has made it his mission to build the perfect prop for UL power engines at his expense. I will be shipping the prop back to Catto for further design changes...stay tuned :)
