Brief Description:  15 hr Maintenance and some tidy up

So I've got 17 hrs on my bird now. Lots of little tweaks and changes have taken place in such little time. The main problem to date has been high oil temps. When removing the lower cowling I noticed that the silicone seal around the cooler base plate was spit and leaking air. I took it upon myself to seal that thing up once and for all. I used a TON of RED RTV around every single nook and cranny more so than I've ever done. ALL AIR will be directed through the core now and I'm curious what it will do to my temps. LOL. watch it drop like 20 degrees and I'll spend the day laughing at myself. If temps Don't go down after I add the inlet diverters then I will most likely be moving to a 9 row cooler instead. I'm thinking the Higher compression and higher RPM makes it VERY different from a lycoming.

But let's talk engine stuff now. UL has a list of check up items at the 15 hr mark so I went through them and should finish them up tomorrow. A few items are an oil change, filter change, full examination and rocker tappet adjustment. I can already tell they are off but didn't have the tool to work on em so they are my treat tomorrow. This will also be my first Engine logbook maintenance entry that I can sign using my repairmans cert number! YEA! It was super windy today and will be worse tomorrow so I'm Real glad to be turning a wrench right now :)
