Brief Description: Oil temp sensor replacement and throttle check
The ONLY UMA sensor that works with my engine is not sold by any retailer I could find. It's model # 1B3R. The R being very rare and important. The first sensor I had, was awesome and certified and completely wrong. No K Types allowed for the Garmin software. Bummer. It was an easy Job to swap it out, but it meant removing the oil filter, thermostat and housing. I lost 1/2 quart of oil in the process, but the good news is that the oil looked REALLY good. No sign of excessive wear. Finally I'll get to see if my oil temps are in the green! Next, I hooked up the laptop to the engine ECU to check the throttle position sensor and it's range from idle to full throttle and everything looks good. UL Power has Nailed the Quality factor by offering this software to its owners.
