Brief Description:  Good enough for now. See you in 2 weeks.

Tomorrow I fly out to the west coast and will be gone for 2 weeks. A family vacation and a MUCH needed one for me. I've been burning at both ends of the candle here since my wife deployed and I'm really feeling burnt out. So here's the scoop:

I've ditched the throttle body intake filter completely. The first flight will be wide open to see RPM's I get with 0 restrictions. I will then begin adding more and more restrictive mesh until I see in a decrease in RPM, then stop. I will obviously want some kind of filteration at some point.

I next added a second round of filler to the cooling plenums then prepped them for paint. I sprayed 2 coats of the engine enamel paint I have as a guide coat. More obvious low spots showed up so I'll have to revisit them when I get back. I think I've settled on spraying them in the same Grey primer that is on the airplane to match. It's extremely chemical resistant and will look great against the aluminum frame.

Finally, I zip tied a few more things on the engine giving it a bit of a tidy up. As soon as I get back I will have 5 days to complete the wheel pants, intake plenums and the new intake glass lip angles before the avionics crew show up to wire this bad boy. 5 days should be enough so for now I'm shutting down the airplane factory.
We'll see ya later this month EZ. FIRST FLIGHT is less than 2 months away!!!!
