Brief Description:  Air induction Naca

The air induction system on the Ul Power engine is on the top of the engine rather than underneath. This has several benefits but not one that is common to the long ez. Instead of routing ducting down to the bottom of the cowling I wanted to keep things on top. I also didn't want the mess of designing a ram air system so I decided on placing a naca inlet just in front of the tank vents. After clearing out the foam and glass I placed the nace in the correct position and piled up really dry west sytems to allow some contouring by hand. Inside the naca won't be a fun place to sand later so I did the best I could with my fingers. After cure I will shape the inlet and re-micro all the voids and contours for a smooth inlet. One good thing about this is that if the fuel vents ever burp while parked, the fuel will drain right into the naca vs my paint job or canopy.
