Brief Description:  Custom Exhaust Version 1

UL Power Inc. refuses to develop a suitable exhaust system for the Pusher guys without all the cost being covered by the builder. In response I've decided to contract Sonic Headers to manufacture the exhaust for me. It begins with the painful decision of cutting up the valuable UL Power exhaust pipes in order to have stubs to attach the PVC pipe to. When looking at how much Pipe a sinlge 27hp cylinder needs in order to efficiently expell the exhaust it becomes apparent that while UL power can build a fabulous engine, they don't know crap about exhaust design. I've opted to use a smaller 1-1/4" pipe which is 50% larger than necessary to account for some tight bends and other variables. I'll make note right now that Sonic was the ONLY company of 5 that would even consider the job. Everyone else bowed out when I said UL Power.
Anyways, UL had a spread of exhaust pipe lengths up to 8"!!!! In order to have a balanced and tuned system the difference should be less than 1" for all pipes. Right now the closest I could get is 2.75" difference. I'm sure it will be less after Sonic gets ahold of it.
The End goal here is to have a cowling without uneccessary humps and bumps, an exhuast with effecient augmentation outlets to pull the hot air out of the cowling and healthy temps across the board. I'm excited to see what Sonic will make of this contraption. :) stay tuned!
OH YA, and all future UL power/ canard setups will be able to order an identical exhuast that will be a bolt on solution :)...you're welcome.
