Eons ago, way back when I first painted the interior of my airplane, I had gone through probably 3 layers of paint before finding what I wanted to use. Now that paint has seen some abuse and has weathered the years extremely well. The days come when touch up is needed and the LAST thing I wanted to think about was using a "spray" system for touch up work. I chose to use a latex brush on paint and have never had a single regret. For the black trim, I used Rustoleum "painters touch" Ultra Cover in black. With all the mods I've done, friends I've given rides to, boxes and bags I've carried, she was in need of a little touch up here and there. I taped off the new white primer lines and started brushing on the black for a fresh new look. Paint dried nicely and a little acetone should clean up an imperfect tape lines. I also did some touch up work to the hammered paint inside the engine bay. I was hoping to rent the trailer tomorrow, but weather looks iffy and I could use a bit more time for the small odds and ends that I will tackle tomorrow and tuesday. Wednesday's forecast looks like a perfect day to move and I'll have the wife with me all day to make it fun. Stay tuned :)
