I can't believe it. I found my "rolled" on primer had cured completely smooth and orange peel free. I'm assuming this is do to only laying down 1 coat vs several but it made for a very easy day of spot filling and prepping for wet sanding tomorrow. The fuselage and both cowls got spot filled with micro to allow another day of primer curing to help sanding. From the looks of it, I will be able to roll on the white primer up until it's final coat or maybe even avoid the gun completely which means a lot less prep. If I can keep orange peel away, I'm in business and White is next on the list! Tomorrow will be spent wet sanding in prep for White primer and as soon as the silicone hose arrives, it's go time for the exhaust port glass work. I've got to get these pipes out in the mail to JET-HOT for ceramic coating so I can get flying here soon! I can't believe it but I do believe I'm 3 weeks or less away from first flight, and I JUST signed a new hangar lease at the Georgetown airport 27K. Ah yes, clean airspace here I come :)
