Brief Description:  Mystery fish eyes

Sooooo, ummmmmm. This sucks. I've sprayed this primer several times before and have had small areas of fish eyes and it's never been a problem in the end because it's sanded down in the end. BUT, today's round of primer was different. Fish eyes all over. Again, not a problem because it's all getting sanded down, BUT, I need to find the source. The most common reason is a contaminated surface. But to test this, I thoroughly wiped down the nose hatch with acetone just before shooting and it still fish eyed. The only thing I can think of is that the rag I used to acetone wipe the fuselage must have been either contaminated or the rag itself contained silicone. Either way, I'll be going back to paper towels and using Wax and Grease remover before all future applications. The good side of the day is that the first round of primer is done, and all visible pin holes filled. I even was able to shoot primer on the wheel pants :) Of Course a small portion of the tire got it too, so now my tire is politically correct :)
