Today was spent sanding down the filler on the canopy and prepping the bird for primer. Lots of taping, cleaning, and just plain boring prep work to get her ready for tomorrow. The plan is to spray 3 nice coats of white first thing in the morning and keep the shop heated as warm as possible until tomorrow night. This will ensure a much better cure in prep for wet sanding her either sunday afternoon or monday. I'll note that the filler in a can was the perfect solution to prep the contour for primer. Love that stuff and look at that PERFECT Gap in pic 2! Just always remember the importance of an Acetone wipe on all surfaces before each layer. it's critical over polyester fillers.
