Brief Description: Sanding the skim coats and one more cooking
The skim coats turned out to be a sensational idea. Wet sanding is a breeze and drying them off reveals every single low spot as it's still shiny. Amazing how much contouring is still needed. After sanding the Left elevator, it became obvious that the pin holes were still needing a little resin, so I decided to add another skim coat instead of tackling them with filler. I also balanced both elevators before sanding the skim coats and was surprised to see they were still balanced! I don't think balance issues will be a problem from here on out :)
