Brief Description:  I am SO inlove

I can't believe this. Silver Metallic is THEE Hardest paint to lay down correctly. Even the pros will tell you that. But I guess Rustoleum has the new guy in mind. Check this out. I wet sanded my upper cowling to 350 grit then added my new obsession, "Satin Nickel metallic" in the following order:

1. Medium tack coat 10" away with 70% overlap
2. Wait 10 minutes
3. Medium wet coat. 10" away with 70% overlap
3. wait 15 minutes
4. Dry dust coat from 18" away with 70% overlap
5. wait 20 minutes
6. Dry dust coat from 18" away with 70% overlap

The whole process required 2 cans of paint and 1 hour and OMG look at that finish. It laid out perfectly and I haven't even added the clear coat yet. NO TIGER STRIPES. I'm deciding between a high gloss or matte clear. I'm leaning towards Matte though. Stay tuned!
