Brief Description:  Final primer, finally

The process of "gently" wet sanding using finer grit sandpaper proved to be key in keeping me from several more rounds of filler. I used a large sanding block to really level the surface evenly and went straight to 180 grit. I did need to fill a couple pinholes here and there but was able to get both ailerons to final primer today. Awesome. I will be test flying them on Thursday and then flying to Austin with my wife on Saturday. Plenty of time for the primer to cure up. I've decided I will fly them before wrapping them in case it's a bear getting them installed. I don't want to ding up the wrap.
Having a little primer left over, I headed to the airport and laid down 2 coats where I had sanded the strake yesterday. It's nowhere near finished but that's fine as I'm still rigging this bird. I just didn't want judgemental eyes when I landed this Sat. :) yes..I'm such a Diva
