Being that I was able to remove quite a bit of weight I decided to follow after James Redmon on his ailerons and close off the ends with really really dry micro for a much better appearance. And I'm glad I did. The micro added less than 1 oz of weight and balance is nearly identical. I then sanded both ailerons to 180 grit in prep for primer. I was able to shoot 3 coats which will be a really good base guide coat to show how my contouring is looking. I don't plan on coming back to these ailerons again. This will be their state until I wrap them so I want them as good as I can get em.
