Brief Description:  Pants n Primer

Those itty bitty Lamb tires are low drag but not too good at rolling over hangar door rales and such. One particular event included me rolling over rails that were just a little too tall for my pants and ended up damaging a portion of my forward left wheel pant. However, it was meant to happen and here is why> Upon investigating the damage today I noticed that when comparing the 2 front pant halves, the left (Damaged) pant was not trimmed to match the right which meant it was closer to the ground. This means that instead of repairing the damaged area I could simply trim off the damage and now have matching pants! Woohoo! My lucky day. Saves me from glasswork. I took the pant to the dremel and that was that.
The second issue was due to a hard landing at gross weight where the airplane dropped onto the runway from about 12" up and scuffed up the bottom of the left aft pant. This was an easy Z-Grip Fix which meant I could actually get these pants in final primer in 1 day! Splendid!

Finally, I z-gripped the obvious areas and laid down 3 medium coats of primer. After cure, a nice 400 grit sanding job will match them to the airplane. Now my whole plane is grey again. Looking good!
