The plenum strips cured and were trimmed. They turned out really nice. Nicer than I expected actually. Sanded them down to 220 grit and applied 2 coats of hammered black. I also added flat black to the inside of the plenums and hammered black to all exterior areas that needed it. After a couple days cure they will be ready for flight. Pretty cool.
The second job today was to finally tackle those pesky delams that I thought were all over, when in reality were only 2 of them. The other areas were found to be spots where I poorly mixed the Z-Grip and it never cured all the way. This was good news though because the delams would have been a bigger concern. The largest area affected was around the left fuel tank cap where I KNEW the grip wasn't mixed right but decided to move on. Bad decision. The good news is that I'll go over this area with a nice thick layer of wet micro and sanded it flush again. The other small areas around the aircraft can easily be tackled with Z grip or dry micro.
