So this idea of "wrapping" my airplane vs leaving it in primer or paint has got the brain cells working. I've read that as good as 3M is, the new kid on the block is Vvivid Vinyl. They are making claims of easier install and up to 10 years durability on a CAR. Mind you, that a daily driver so the durability on an airplane could be even more than that! I opened up a few samples I got in the mail today and found the finish to be much nicer than 3M as reported and the contrast is exceptional as you can see in the photo. These are all a "matte" finish and I can't wait to do temp testing on a fiberglass/foam core sample. Darn winter weather!!
