Brief Description:  Oh what the heck, let's try it

So Joe Coraggio had really good luck rolling his bird with primer. Spray was not so fun for him so I thought to myself, "if I'm gonna sand this stuff, why not give it a try?" And I did. And I'm glad I did.
Spraying primer is awesome AFTER all the prep is done, because you always get a real nice finish. The problem is that it's a lot of prep and cleanup. And when you are going to sand the crap out of your finish, it's almost pointless to hassle with it. So I reduced the primer to about 10% today and tried rolling it with really good results! This round of primer went on after spending a good hour or 2 sanding down the filler I added last night. I'm real happy with how this scoop has turned out and I'll be even MORE happy if I see oil temps around 170 when cruising around in this frigid winter weather. :)

This primer is going to be more of a guide coat and I plan on doing a lot more major filler work to smooth the lines out. I'm not really happy about the contour of the lower cowling after all the changes have happened and when it's time for cowling v2.0, there may be large sections of re-work to do on this one. But this is all part of fun.....
