The foam plug inside the plenum was cleared out and the borders trimmed up. I considered fill and paint much like the intake plenums, but then I've always wanted a Carbon fiber look on SOMETHING carbon so I sanded down the exterior ply real well and added 1 layer of west systems for a skim coat. I think this will do the trick. I had the urge to grab my cowling as well and trim down the excess carbon plies in prep for interior work tomorrow. I brought the cowling inside overnight to cure and it makes a HUGE difference comparred to the garage when it comes to cure times. Tomorrow the goal is to have the 2" intake tube bonded in place and a micro leading edge built up. If it goes quickly I will also spread Z-grip overywhere that needs it. This cowl is getting heavier :) Can't wait to make the second cowling after all flight testing and tweaking is done :)
