Brief Description:  Cowls get more primer

I started by spot filling, then wet sanding with a sanding sponge, then went back and dry sanded with 180 grit. The 180 grit is REALLY good and removing orange peel and gently contouring raised areas that are hidden when wet sanding with a sponge. This made for a really really nicely prepped surface for what I'm hoping is final primer. After 4 hours of that mess I sprayed 3 more coats of primer that laid down really well. I did see however that I blew through some more pin holes when sanding so I "could" do another round of filler and primer, but the DAR is coming in a few days and the cowls are certainly presentable so I'll wait on my last rounds of primer until the airworthiness cert is in hand :) WOW. Days away from an airworthy airplane that's been non stop for almost 3 years. WEIRD!
