Brief Description:  Gear legs primer round 2 and 3

A couple odds and ends today as well as round 2 and 3 of the gear leg primer. It was rediculous how much time it took to bring the gear leg fairings to an acceptable contour. Sanding that airfoil is difficult because no sanding block works. It takes the palm of my hand and fingertips with a lot of repetition. I was able to shoot 3 coats early on in the day and come back to wet sand it down and apply another 3 coats making it 3 rounds done. I have a strong feeling however that it's not quite finished, however, all this waiting around for more activator is giving me the time i need to really hone in on these legs.
In between spraying sessions I was able to tackle a few extremely small delams with a syringe thanks to Jason being here again. He and I also went over the fuse, filling the last of the low spots and sanding them flush. Now, one spot on the nose that I kept feeling as a high spot, quickly became a low spot as I was being aggressive with it. I acetoned the area while my primer was ready to shoot and gave it 4 quick thin coats that I will use in the morning as a guide coat to determine if the area will now need filler.
All in all the fuse is now down to its final hours before interior paint begins. Technically I have to wait until tuesday before I can paint the interior top coats, however I am thinking it will be wednesday when I finally get to it, do to a busy schedule this week.
Other good news is that my engine mount arrives tuesday along with my exhaust pipes and cooling plenums. PERFECT timing as next on the list after paint is the engine install!!!!
