Brief Description:  By Golly, shes ready :)

What an awesome day. My favorite time during a build is when one major chaptor in this build is ending and the next begins. It's like being handed an energy drink half way through a marathon. So here it is: The nose strut and door was filled and sanded down. I then added Rutans recommended radiused edge on the aft side of the nose wheel bay. He claims doing this makes the airplane within 1/2 mph of having fully closed doors over the wheel. My kind of mod! I also decided to wait on the small door in front of the strut. It will be testing whether or not the small door adds any speed that will convince me to add it. For the test, I'll put a flexible piece of glass over the gap with tape. Should hold up for at least one good test flight. My guess is that it won't change a thing performance wise.
I also added filler to the speed brake and was surprised how much it required in order to level off. Glad I did it. Finally I gave her a real good bath with soap and water that should dry out overnight.
I've got several urgent things to do tomorrow so the first half of my day is booked solid. My IDEAL goal is to have enough time to get the fuselage through its first 3 coats of primer before going to bed. Otherwise, tuesday will be very boring while I wait for primer to cure :)
Ready, set, prep!!!
