I finished adding the 3rd layer of skim of which I sanded between coats enabling me to really fine tune the contour to avoid excessive layers of skim. I'm happy to say that the contour is fabulous after just 2 coats so my plan to really dial in the filler is going to save me a lot of time and material. Perfect! While the 3rd coat is curing I decided to add another whoppin 36 yards of lead tape to the leading edge of the aileron. After this I brushed a thin layer of epoxy over the lead then spread dry micro around the leading edge to create a good transition contour later. Everything here will now cure and I'm crossing my fingers for a balanced aileron. :)
