2 more prominent high spots showed up in contouring the black down to 220 grit. The black went on so well last night I decided to shoot 3 more coats of grey primer reduced to 10% for my final flight coats. All is well. The grey shot perfectly. Long day today with all the steps involved getting the wing to final primer. 95 = 100 because 95% perfect has been reached which means this wing is 100% DONE DONE DONE. tomorrow the rudder and aileron get the 95% treatment.
Interesting facts about the last 100 hours:
2 coats of filler 4 skim coats 2 gallons of primer including activator and reducer. Almost all of the above layers were sanded down to bare minimum.
Lesson learned:
USE FILLER until contour is almost flawless. Its WAY cheaper and will save a LOT of time.
