The Roller Ball was a successful install so it was time to Fill the nose again and re-paint. I poured a large amount of filler into the nose, then used a trowel to even it out and remove any excess. This technique worked MUCH faster than the first time because I laid it on nice and thick which allowed me to sand and be done 1 time. Also mixing it hot helped speed the process. After sanding I prepped not only the forward campartment, but also prepped the brake pedal area for touch up paint work as I was not happy with the brush on Satin Clear that I applied yesterday. It came out much too glossy for my taste so back to the spray cans. At this point everything is drying and will be clear coated tomorrow so I can begin installing hardware :) When I was at Home Depot today I noticed that Rustoleum made a slightly different Tan that may be better than the Ivory Silk I used on the brake pedal rails. The rails turned out pretty good but they have a blush or rosy tone that is just visible enough to bug me. So i picked up the new paint called, "Navajo White" and when applying it, the color seems more neutral and may be what I'm looking for. Tomorrow, we'll prep it and add the Satin clear for a final decision.
