Between yesterday and today, 13 hours were spent filling the forward, AFT, and adjoing areas and then bringing them within1/16" of each other. The Final job was to pile up filler between the fuselage and canard, install the canard and let the filler harden. This will create a VERY close fit between surfaces giving a better seal. The technique I came up with in order to get an equal 1/16" gap between all surfaces is awesome. take 2 long pieces of 40-80 grit sandpaper and stick them together back to back and run it between all surfaces. This is MUCH easier than taking a part off and on again, "guessing" when to stop sanding and the result is great!
