Brief Description:  Now I'm asking for it

The ugly truth is that if you look back toward the very beginning of my build, you'll see that I had to do a major re-shaping of the canard tips in order to get them identical. Well that was in the beginning of my build which meant poor technique. Still, the tips are far from identical and it's been one of those things that I knew I'd have to deal with one day. In fact, they are so messed up that I'd literally have to chop them off and start over with a block of foam in order to get them right. In light of this ugly truth, I thought I'd really go nuts and try a whole new tip design.
I've researched tip designs ever since I went flying with Nick Ugolini in his EZ and saw his wild tip design. Nick's tips were large and caused yaw stability issues, but greatly improved climb performance which, to him, made it worth it. I could use all the climb I can get so I decided to base my design off his but highly modified. My tips will be much smaller and offer total coverage of the elevators through their full travel. It will also have a raked TE. I plan on making them flat and affectively removing the added span of the original tips. My hopes are that it will reduce overall lift and therefore allow less drag at high speeds. However, this is all a wild shot in the dark, so here's to good looks at least! ;) I'm also pondering whether or not to have them be "removeable" and bolted on or glass them on for good. If they are removeable then I can easily test several versions easily and then glass the final versions on. We..shall...see.
