Brief Description:  Engine air intake naca filled in

The idea that rain would easily flood my engine while parked horrifies me and I can't believe I didn't take this seriously when I was building the turtle deck. Man...
I started by cutting off the naca duct inside the turtle deck. I then added a piece of yellow foam to close out the hole. I then laid up 2 plies BID on top and bottom. I then added dry micro on top and will do Z-grip on the bottom after the micro and glass layups cure. This isn't a structural mod so adding the top micro isn't a big deal.
The next change that needs to happen is to close off 2" opening on the firewall where the old air access was. I simply removed the flange, and used it as a template to create an aluminum plate that will close off the hole. I will be adding Heat shield to the backside of the plate for a heat and fire barrier.
