The passenger thigh support doesn't support thighs at all. Unless they're massive thighs I guess. besides the point. The fact is, it protects and houses the fuel pumps and serves as a step for entry and exit so it must be solid as a rock with no play at all. The hinge construction is great, but after installing it I noticed that the uneveness of the floor pan makes it wobble just a little side to side. NOT OK. To fix this issue I took 4 assembled blocks of wood, superglued and floxed them to the bottom 4 corners and now she aint goin NOwhere. done. Next, as feet will ruin it's paint job I had to add some skateboard deck grip tape. Stuff comes in large sheets for $6 at Zummies and it's perforated so air bubbles don't happen. Super ez install and now this "non" thigh support can take a beating. Done. Oh and I painted it a little on the bottom for the "critics." Finally, I added a small piece of that grip tape to the exterior step. Done. Next I tackled the False wall. I added my favorite weather stripping to the border and she fits SUPER snug. DONE. Ok, so here's a rub that's not as bad as I thought. The UL power ECU and EIS have massive amounts of wires coming out of them that contact the passenger headrest panel. SUCKS. I hade to add 3/4" standoffs made of pine, to clear the wires. Luckily the back seat is thick so the headrest is still in a good position for comfort. Now there is a good 3/8" gap around the panel, but it honestly doesn't look bad and will help to vent the turtledeck when those BIG monsters start warming up.
