Brief Description:  Nose gear switch re-wiring

I think every airplane should have a HUGE obvious GEAR DOWN knob or handle especially in a long Ez. Just as Joe Coraggio! MANY people have landed gear up because they simply forgot to lower the gear. Now this amazing electric retract system is available from Jack Wilhelmson and includes a Rediculously small toggle switch! WHAT??? the exact opposite of what needs to be there. Well, with my tight panel layout I went for Jack's switch setup, but made a couple changes.
First, the Main gear down switch was removed and replaced with a Much better locking military style toggle that can't be "bumped" out of position. The second change was to reverse the ermergency gear down switch for 2 important reasons. The first reason is because the "momentary" action is UP and serves no purpose for my installation. Secondly, the DOWN position is stationary which causes the Nose gear Clutch to go crazy when full down position is reached. NO LIMITING SWITCHES on the emergency switch! PLUS, you have to raise the switch UP for the gear to go DOWN. Totally counterintuitive.
Now, the emergency gear down switch is Momentary in the DOWN position so that I have to HOLD the gear switch down until fully deployed which is really smart because it is in the DOWN position and forces me to watch the gear extend until I can verify that it is down.
Not sure why Jack didn't think of all this, but after 2.5 hours of re-soldering and heat-shrinking super tiny terminals BEHIND the panel, I'm ready to be in bed and sleep well, knowing this job is DONE. :)
