I Took some time to decide how to remove all those single MGL instruments as they would have cost me in weight and complexity. The goal is to get a simple backup EFIS that wouldn't cost more than the singles when all is said and done, and after seeing that both a Dynon Skyview and EMS-D10 will comunicate I was on to something. The selling point was the built in ADHARS in the D10 eliminating my need for more than 1 stand alone for the Skyview system. That's $800 saved! With the Vertical Power VP-X Pro under the passenger thigh support I think I'm starting to cover much of the dual redundancy issues already while saving weight and complexity. Perfect. >
Now with my Iphone running foreflight on the center console I will have: 3 independant GPS devices on board, a wet compass, 2 EFIS screens, 3 moving maps, 2 engine monitors, and the new PAR100EX. I'll be flying a Cadillac for the cost of a Chevy :)....Until I buy that ULpower 6 cylinder.....ugh
