So the plan was to have a perfect mirrior finished SS Firewall. After 2 hours of Wet sanding and polishing, I wasn't able to get it anywhere near as perfect as expected. Always 1 scratch that went too deep. UGH! And then this terrible thought of someday slipping off of a bolt and scratching the finish has me thinking, "do I really want that?" Seems like a high maintenance option. So I decided to sand it all down to 800 grit. Swirls hide scratches because they are scratches. Plus, if I do scratch it down the road, it will take 30 seconds to sand it out. Makes a lot more practical sense to me right now as my fingers are telling me to stop sanding. :) Idk, Jury is still out...
